The oils we’ve chosen are rich in polyunsaturated fats, which contain multiple double bonds. These bonds are essential for polymerization, forming a stronger, more durable seasoning that enhances your cookware’s performance over time.
Our beeswax serves three key purposes in our formula:
- It ensures an even blend of the oils.
- It solidifies the mixture, limiting its exposure to oxygen compared to traditional liquid oils, which helps extend the Compound's shelf life.
- As a hydrophobic agent (repels water), beeswax helps protect your cast iron from moisture and rust, preserving its longevity.

How to use on cookware:
Maintenance: After cleaning and drying, apply a thin layer to the cooking surface with a paper towel or rag. Wipe off excess oil.
Seasoning: Apply a thin layer to all surfaces. Wipe off excess oil (this is important). Place in 450° oven for one hour. Repeat if needed.

Seasoning an abelskiver pan
After watching Kris on Instagram for several months, and the amazing transformations that he made to cast iron ware, I finally took the plunge and bought seasoning and maintenance compound. I was particularly impressed with the fact that it’s a combination of food, safe and organic oils and beeswax I did as I had seen on so many posts and after two cycles of seasoning in the oven, the pan looks amazing. It is nonstick, which it never was before and I’m now use the seasoning compound On all my cast-iron wear after use. I gave my son a cast-iron brownie skillet for Christmas and we plan to season it before he heads home from his visit. The seasoning arrived promptly and works beautifully. I highly recommend it.

Best Seasoning Product Available
I thought I took pretty good care of my cast iron (I ‘knew what I was doing’ so to speak) so I doubted for a long time that this product would make a difference for me. After using for a month or so, the difference is incredible. Improvement all around, including in the appearance, cooking performance, and ease of cleaning of my cast iron. As suggested by Chris I also have used it to oil wooden cutting boards and it works great for that as well! I’ve already ordered more for gifts—can’t go wrong with this stuff.

My Dutch oven cast iron
I received a Dutch oven cast iron as a gift I was absolutely thrilled the pan said it was preseasoned but after only cooking in it twice it started rusting I tried everything I was heartbroken then I seen Chris talking about his products and thought I have nothing to lose I received the seasoning compound pretty quickly and used it as directed and only after the one time my Dutch oven is no longer rusty even after washing it!! I’m impressed!!!

Cast Iron Chris Compound
I waited 2 months to write my review, because I wanted to give an accurate one. After 2 months, I can honestly say, I love this product! My cast iron looks better than new! I'm sure it would've lasted MUCH longer, but I use my cast iron at least once a day, sometimes several times. And... I found that I also love this for my wooden spoons and cutting board. So I use it much more than most of you would. Now... to place my order for 2 more. (My friend wants some too!)

Fantastic new product

Great Product!
I've used this everyday since I got it and it's made maintaining my pans so much easier. Very spreadable and doesn't require much to coat a pan nicely. Will definitely be buying more when I run out.
