Our unique blend of beeswax, grapeseed oil, and sunflower oil is crafted specifically to create an exceptional seasoning for your cast iron. The oils we’ve chosen are rich in polyunsaturated fats, which contain multiple double bonds. These bonds are essential for polymerization, forming a stronger, more durable seasoning that enhances your cookware’s performance over time.
Our beeswax serves three key purposes in our formula:
- It ensures an even blend of the oils.
- It solidifies the mixture, limiting its exposure to oxygen compared to traditional liquid oils, which helps extend the Compound's shelf life.
- As a hydrophobic agent (repels water), beeswax helps protect your cast iron from moisture and rust, preserving its longevity.

How to use on cookware:
Maintenance: After cleaning and drying, apply a thin layer to the cooking surface with a paper towel or rag. Wipe off excess oil.
Seasoning: Apply a thin layer to all surfaces. Wipe off excess oil (this is important). Place in 450° oven for one hour. Repeat if needed.

Best seasoning
I searched around a while before buying this compound and I absolutely love it. It's not messy and has a much better look and use than just oil. I've stripped pans back down to bare cast and seasoned with this compound and the CI comes out beautiful. Definitely worth it

Awesome Stuff
Held off a long time before buying. I shouldn't have waited. I just received the compound and used it to apply a few layers to a brand new pan. Also, I'm doing my first restoration and have applied multiple layers to that pan as well. So far so good. Very happy with how things are going. I'm having much better results than previous attempts at seasoning a pan using only oil. The compound is less messy and is easier to apply than oil alone. I took Chris' advice and apply it while the pan is a little warm. Really good tip. The compound spreads super easily. If you're considering trying this, let me say it's well worth it. I won't go back to using only oil.

Worked really well. I used Chris's lye bath method on two 12" pans, and did three rounds of seasoning. My wife thought I had bought new pans.

Seasoning & Maintenance Compound
I was skeptical. I ordered some to try. I have been very happy with the results. I have been using it on my everyday Lodge cookware. After I clean and wash, with soap, I apply it as instructed. My skillets are a bit less sticky while cooking and they clean up much easier. I think the best part is I am done treating them with oil and ALL the problems that comes with that. Good job, CIC.

Compound
Picked up a tin of this after watching restoration videos by Chris. Looked at other brands online in Canada and wanted to avoid the exchange. Well I’m glad I decided to go with Chris’ compound! Very reasonably priced even with the exchange. Arrived quickly! I have 3 skillets, one very good one and a couple that have been through the wringer…used for camping and sat outside in rain and used over many fires. Cleaned up all 3 and put them through 3 rounds of seasoning! All in all about 4hrs. The results were amazing! Even my cheap beat up cast iron look incredible and are now my fav skillets to use! Followed Chris’ cleaning/drying instructions and now use the compound for maintenance! Night and day! Altho am still arguing with neighbours about soap on cast iron! Definitely recommend this product! Glad I found your IG!!! Will def be ordering again!!!! 5 stars!

Seriously amazing stuff
This compound has single handedly made using my cast iron so much easier! I went from avoiding using it for avoiding all the hassle of maintenance, to wanting to use it regularly. My already well seasoned pan is somehow even better with a coat of this stuff. I also used it to season a new carbon steel wok, and it was so much easier to work with than using oil.

Seasoning and Maintenance Compound
Used this a few times this week and it's awesome. Works really well and smells good, too! You need less than you think. Definitely use a cotton towel or similar. You can get away with a paper towel using oil but not really with this. I think the beeswax bullies the paper towel into falling apart. Anyway I accidentally bought two and I'm glad I did. Thanks!
